Niranjana you won for the month of November!! Congratulations :)
If you can, please email me within the next 48 hours with your address and book of choice from the prize list
Niranjana's chosen review was of Writing the New Toronto, a collection of short, diverse stories by some great authors.
In addition, as you know, the year is almost over and so is this challenge. I will NOT be tracking down prizes from 2010 in 2011. So if you still haven't received your prize, PLEASE let me know ASAP. I want everyone who won to get a prize, but I also don't have time to keep searching for prizes well into the new year. Email me or leave a comment if you didn't receive your prize.
And if you haven't won yet, start brainstorming your wrap-up posts. Those are the posts the grand winners will be chosen from.
I will see ya'll in 2011 to announce December and grand prize winners! Have a happy holidays and fabulous new year =D
The persons of color reading challenge has been put in place to highlight and celebrate authors and characters of color.

2011 Sign up
I am so overwhelmed and so happy with all the support that you readers have given us with the PoC reading challenge this year. I never thought that it would take off the way that it did and I couldn't have done it without you the readers and the other two Ari, and Katy who take care of all the prizes and linking up and all the generally cool stuff that has been going on here.
I would like to invite you all to join in the fun again. I know it is challenge sign up time and everyone is scrambling to join everything and you are probably thinking seriously about which challenges are right for you. Please remember that this challenge is about diversifying your reading and showing the publishers we do care about PoC literature and we want to see more of it on the shelves of bookshelves. That we do not want to see the white washing of covers and we will not stand for it.
We had 83 participants last year and I would love more than anything to reach 100 this year. Please do not forget about what an important issue this is and even though things have been going well for quite a while these issues are never going to be over and we have to be proactive. So please join our challenge and tell others it is open again.
Level 1: Read 1-3 POC books
Level 2. Read 4-6 POC books
Level 3. Read 7-9 POC books
Level 4. Read 10-15 POC books
Level 5. Read 16-25 POC books

December Review Link-Up!
It's December and for many of us that means we're trying to finish up the year's reading challenges! I know many of us joined the POC Reading Challenge as an ongoing challenge, but some of you are aiming for a certain number of books by the end of the year. If that is you, and you'd like to write up an end-of-the-year/end-of-the-challenge post, you can link up here: Challenge Wrap-up Posts.
How to enter your links: Scroll down to the bottom of the thumbnails and click on the blue "Add Your Link" button. Put the title of the book you have reviewed in the "Name" box. You can include your name or blog name in parenthesis if it will fit. Please be sure that you link to the specific URL address of your review, not the URL address of your main/home blog page. Then follow the directions to add a thumbnail image.
As always, we would love to spotlight some of your reviews! Please email Pam if you'd be willing to have one of your POC Challenge reviews highlighted here. Her email is pam@eurobands.us and if you include a picture of yourself (if you have one) and a short bio it will make the spotlight that much better!
